Albany man faces 5 1/2 years for marijuana possession

ALBANY -  District Attorney P. David Soares announced that 40-year-old Adam Vanvorst of Albany was convicted of criminal possession of marijuana Thursday night in Albany County Court.

The ruling was made after Vanvorst was observed receiving and signing for a delivery package using a false name last December.

The package contained several bags of marijuana, weighing 12.25 pounds all together.

Vanvorst faces 5 ½ years in State Prison when is sentenced on Nov. 2.
