Some Capital Region residents remember those with leukemia and lymphoma. The Light the Night walk took place last night at Siena College in Loudonville. News Channel 13's Benita Zahn was the emcee.
Many groups came out to walk in honor of people who are battling the disease, along with those who beat it, and others who lost their lives. “Were here in honor of my son, Mark Woodcock, who passed away in February from A.L.L. But he was a trooper, he was a hockey player… here's Mark. So we're all here to support and honor Mark.” -Sheila Woodcock “For you, seeing all these people out here, how does it feel?” –Benita Zahn “Oh it's just an honor, it's amazing.” –Sheila Woodcock If you couldn't make it to walk with the crowd, you can still donate to the leukemia and lymphoma society. |
