TROY - A Troy man says he killed a toddler he was supposed to be babysitting.
Robert Hayden pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the January death.
In statements he made to police, Hayden said he covered Avery Kahn’s mouth to stop him from crying, but didn't try to suffocate him.
He also says he performed CPR for two hours, before leaving the apartment and trading his grandmother's rosary beads for marijuana.
