ALBANY - A big boost for bio- medical research in the capital region.
A $745,000 grant will fund ten research projects in the Capital Region.
The money was made possible by a newly created alliance.
The organizations include Albany Medical Center, RPI and UAlbany.
The funded projects include cancer research, developing a sensor to detect Alzheimer’s disease early on, and developing smart bandages to improve the healing of wounds.
