Man convicted of sexual contact with little girls

BALLSTON SPA - A Saratoga County jury convicted 42-year-old Michael Santiago of two felony counts of sexual contact with one 6-year-old girl and one 7-year-old girl. 

The panel came to this verdict after hearing testimonies from both girls.

The abuse happened separately so that the girls never knew if the other girl was a victim 

According to Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy, one of the victims said that once after completing the sexual act, Santiago said to her "there, that wasn’t so bad, was it?"

Santiago faces up to seven years on each of the two convictions, possibly to run consecutively, plus post release supervision.
