ALBANY - Gov. Cuomo signed legislation Wednesday allowing the state Department of Motor Vehicles to place a mark on a driver’s license or non-driver ID to show the person is a veteran.
The law will make it more simple and convenient for veterans to show and verify to a business their status as veterans, as many businesses offer discounts to veterans.
In order to get this mark, applicants will have to submit proof that they were honorably discharged from the armed forces.
