WATERVLIET - About 60 people work at the newly renamed Troy Industrial Solutions Company.
Officials plan to expand their customer territory in the next few years and hope to add some additional workers, but they say that's no easy task.
"If we can find them we look for highly technical people, however in this area it’s tough to find those people right now, particularly with the influx of the tech parks," said Jason Smith, company president. "They're consuming a lot of the good technical people so a lot of it will be hiring younger individuals and training them internally ourselves."
The company celebrated its name change from Troy Belting and Supply during a ceremony Thursday morning.
The privately owned business started in 1862 in the collar city.
Their first products were leather belting and mill supplies for Troy's then thriving manufacturing industry.
Now the company does a lot of machine shop and warranty repair work and sells products in a variety of industries.
