New charges against Saratoga philanthropist

BALLSTON SPA - A well known area philanthropist is facing more charges in Saratoga County.
The district attorney's office says 44-year-old Robert Spratt Jr. is accused of stealing a check from the checkbook of a woman he knew, forging it and cashing it.
Spratt is also facing charges of grand larceny in Warren County. Police there say he stole more than $26,000 from the House of Grace of the Adirondacks. That's the Glens Falls hospice organization where he worked.
