COHOES - On the first fall night with sub freezing temperatures, a young man finds himself trapped down a steep embankment in Cohoes.

The call came into 911 after 3:30 Saturday morning.

Cohoes Mayor John McDonald says the man fell about 25 feet near the area of Third and Adams Streets.

He was rescued by rope and taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries.

Police believe he had been drinking. No charges are expected.
