GLOVERSVILLE - The video starts with one girl holding down the woman with her legs and punching her.  Then a second girl joins in, punching the woman in the head over and over again.

Police say the victim, a 47-year-old woman, was riding her bike on the popular Rail Trail in Gloversville, when two teenagers, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old, chased her and attacked her.

A relative of the woman says this isn't the first time this has happened, and she doesn't want to press charges because she's scared.

"Because she's afraid that if she does press charges then a lot of the other girls said they might come along and jump her again, this has happened quite often," said Elaine Marlitt, victim's relative.

Police are not saying why the woman was targeted, but they do say it appears the teenagers and the woman know each other.  The video was posted to Facebook, and a Fulton County dispatcher spotted it.

"The new fad for kids, young adults, to want to videotape their actions and put them on as kind of a badge of honor when in reality what they're actually doing is providing evidence against themselves for what really are stupid actions on their parts," said Chief Donald VanDeusen, Gloversville Police.
