COLUMBIA AOUNTY - Police in Columbia County stop what they considered to be a dangerous driver, only to discover the person behind the wheel was missing from Long Island.

The Columbia County Sheriff says the woman was reported missing around 5:30a.m. Tuesday morning.

They stopped her after spotting her driving erratically in Kinderhook just before 7:00 p.m.

She told them she thought she was traveling on a road in Long Island.

It's believed the woman suffered a stroke and drove all day, not knowing where she was.

She's now being treated at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
