ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Transportation authorities say traffic has returned to normal on stretches of the New York State Thruway and the Adirondack Northway disrupted earlier by an accident near Albany.

They say I-90 has been reopened eastbound from its intersection with I-87 at Exit 24. The southbound Northway had reopened earlier.

State police say a dump truck and van collided in rainy weather near the intersection just after noon Friday, a crash that displaced a concrete barrier.

Troopers say there were initial reports of injuries, but they didn't have details.

The transportation department says the accident happened between exits 24 and 23 in downtown Albany.
