Albany County comptroller battling cancer

ALBANY - Albany County Comptroller Mike Conners says he's battling cancer.
He wrote on his Times Union blog that he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma last Friday.
Conners has been the comptroller for nearly 17 years.
According to the National Cancer Institute, there will be more than 70,000 new cases of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the U.S. this year.
