HUDSON - Police in Columbia County are trying to figure out the identity of a body pulled from the Hudson River.

Two kayakers found the body Sunday just north of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge in Hudson.

Police tell NewsChannel 13 the body was badly decomposed and they are having a hard time determining its gender and other identifying features.

They hope to learn more from an autopsy, which is now underway.
