Plans to privatize Maplewood Manor met with opposition

BALLSTON SPA - A plan to privatize a nursing home in Ballston Spa is being met with opposition.
Employees and residents at Maplewood Manor say they want to keep the nursing home in the hands of Saratoga County.
But the county is dealing with money issues.
A special meeting is scheduled this afternoon to talk about the option of privatizing Maplewood.
Ahead of that meeting, CSEA members and families are holding their own news conference to speak out against the possibility.
