George Amedore says his opponent is doing the bidding of New York City Democrats.
His opponent, Cecelia Tkaczyk, says Amedore is out of touch with issues that are important to women.
It's the race in the newly created 46th Senate District -- the new state Senate district that runs all the way from Montgomery County in the north down to Ulster County in a short of crescent shape.
This district could be important as the Republicans try to maintain control of the Senate.
