GREENE COUNTY - Greene County was devastated by Hurricane Irene.
Now, with Sandy heading north, officials there aren't taking any chances.
The County Emergency Services is urging all residents to be prepared to possibly be without power for 72 to 96 hours.
They say residents should stock up on food items fill your home emergency kit with items like batteries, flashlights, candles, matches, water and medications.
Also, stock up on ice.
If you use life-sustaining equipment that needs electricity, call your utility provider now to see if you qualify for a critical customer program.
