More than 18,000 customers without power

ALBANY - There are more than 18,000 customers without power in the Capital Region as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
National Grid is reporting 14,481 customers without power.
NYSEG is reporting 1,763 customers without power
Central Hudson is reporting 2,039 customers without power.
Crews are expected to begin restoration as soon as the storm subsides.
