Thousands still without power in Capital Region

ALBANY - Super storm Sandy is winding down and inching its way inland.

Thousands of people are still in the dark in the Capital Region.

More than 12,000 National Grid customers do not have power. More than 2,000 NYSEG customers and 840 Central Hudson customers don't have power.

Power outages as of 11:15 a.m.:

Total: 2,013

  • Columbia: 700
  • Greene: 500
  • Rensselaer: 1,000
  • Schoharie: 117

Central Hudson

Total: 842

  • Albany 168
