FLORIDA, Mass. (AP) - A 51-year-old man from the western Massachusetts town of Florida reported missing while out hunting over the weekend has been found dead.

Larry Lewis was reported missing Saturday and was found by rescue workers Sunday morning.

Florida Fire Chief Michael Bedini tells The Transcript of North Adams that it appears Lewis died of head trauma after falling 12 feet from a tree stand he'd set up in the woods.

An investigation has been launched and an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death.

About 60 people started a search for Lewis at about 8 a.m. Sunday and he was found with the help of cellphone coordinates.

Bedini called Lewis an "avid hunter" who leaves behind a wife and two sons.
