CDTA announces Phase Two of Albany County Route Restructuring

Capital District Transportation Authority announces Phase Two of the Albany County Route Restructuring begins Sunday. The changes will affect more than a dozen routes operating through north and West portions of Albany.

Part of Phase Two will include:

  • A new late night and weekend service in Cohoes, Latham, Watervliet, as well as between Troy and Schenectady
  • Increased number of trips between Troy, Latham, Watervliet and Schenectady
  • New services along parts of Fuller, Wade and Watervliet-Shaker Roads
  • New services along Western Ave., Wolf Road, and to Albany International Airport

CDTA launched Phase One of the Albany Route Restructuring in November 2011 that featured a new commuter route network that offered improved access to major destinations such as employment and health services locations
