Colonie kids say man tried to lure them into car

COLONIE - Police are investigating a report of a man trying to lure children into his car in Colonie.
Police say an 8-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl were playing in their front yard on Laura Drive Monday when they say a man driving a white car stopped and talked to them, then told them to get in the car.
The children ran into the house and told their mother, who called police.
The children said the man was wearing a top hat and black-framed glasses with orange lenses. Police say he’s described as a white male in his forties, with a round face and black beard and mustache. They say was reported driving a white, newer model Toyota Camry.
Forts Ferry Elementary School sent a letter to parents about the incident.
