Obama views Sandy recovery in aerial tour of NYC

Obama today got an aerial and up-close look at New York areas left essentially unlivable by the storm, including Queens' Breezy Point area and Staten Island. The president also met with survivors including Damien and Glenda Moore, whose two young sons were among the more than 100 people who lost their lives to the storm.
Obama was accompanied by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, along with top administration officials such as Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan. Obama says that he is appointing Donovan as his point person to oversee the longterm recovery effort.
A man whose Staten Island home was wrecked by Sandy said he was grateful for the president's visit but wished it had happened sooner.
