Berkshire County man won't face charges for 1984 break-in

BERKSHIRE COUNTY - A Berkshire County man charged earlier this week with a crime dating back 28 years won't face charges after all.

51-year-old Thomas Trottier was accused of breaking into a Lanesboro building back in 1984, but even after years of investigating and finding him, the case had to be dropped this morning.

The prosecutor says too many key witnesses have since passed away.
