The recent gun violence getting national attention has some people in Saratoga County upset about an upcoming gun show.
Almost 900 people have signed an online petition urging the Saratoga City Center to cancel the show, scheduled to begin January 11, 2013. It started with Susan Steer's friends and family on facebook, and then took off.
“It's one thing coming form me, it's another coming from more people in the community who feel likewise,” Susan Steer, petitioner.
Arms show organizer, David Petronis says, “we still feel the tragedy, naturally, but these shows are people's livelihoods and I can't justifiably cancel this show.”
There is also a petition circulating online that asks the city center to keep the show. Exhibitors were asked not to bring weapons similar to the ones used in Newtown, but organizers say they won't be banned.
