Fire breaks out in a Schenectady home

Fire breaks out in a Schenectady home over night.

Fire fighters responded to the area of 18 Elm Street around 1:40am Saturday. Officials believe the fire started somewhere between the second floor and the attic of the two family home.

Two people living upstairs made it out safe and are now staying with friends. No one was living on the first floor. Officials are investigating a cause.
