ALBANY - Albany Police say they've taken a stolen gun off the streets.

Officers say Willie Morris tossed a loaded handgun into a yard as he was being chased on South Pearl Street early Sunday morning.

The gun was reported stolen in 2011 by the Miami Dade police department.

Morris has already done time in state prison for possessing a loaded gun.

That arrest happened back in 1999.
