Albany permit parking starts Jan. 15

ALBANY - The new permit parking system in downtown Albany goes into full effect next week.

The new rules take effect Tuesday, Jan 15.

Drivers must have a permit to park on designated streets between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Drivers without a permit can still park on those streets, but only for two hours at a time.

Violators will face a fine of $50.
