2 children found in Schenectady apt. with dead mother

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in her Schenectady apartment after neighbors reported hearing her infant and toddler crying.
Police were called to the apartment building Thursday evening after neighbors said they heard her infant and toddler crying on Wednesday night and again earlier Thursday.
Firefighters carried two children from the apartment and placed them in an ambulance.
Police haven't released any details of the mother's death. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Neighbors told the newspaper that she had moved into the apartment house about five months ago.
