Man struck, then dragged over 100 feet

ALBANY - A man has been hospitalized after he was struck by a car, and dragged more than 130 feet.

This happened around 9 Tuesday, on South Pearl Street at the Dunn Memorial Bridge ramp.

Police tell us that a man in his 80's was driving the van that struck the victim as he was riding his bicycle.

Police say the victim was rushed to Albany Medical Center.

He's expected to recover.

The elderly driver was ticketed.
