COLONIE - Police say a New Orleans man has admitted to killing a Colonie High School graduate.

39-year-old Henry Dolliole is charged with first degree murder.

He's accused of brutally beating and strangling 26-year-old Lauren Tanski.

Tanski was his ex-girlfriend's roommate.

Dolliole is on probation already for a previous drug conviction and has a lengthy rap sheet.

The police superintendent in New Orleans says it's very disturbing that his officers arrested him multiple times, including for attempted murder, yet he was out of jail

Last Monday and had the opportunity to bludgeon a woman to death."

Tanski also graduated from SUNY Cobleskill and spent time living in Cohoes.
