Two displaced in Pittsfield fire

PITTSFIELD - The Red Cross is assisting two people after fire damages a home at 3 Clarendon Street in Pittsfield.

The fire broke in the two family hime around 8:30, Saturday night. Both the homeowner and an upstairs tenant got out safe. Fire fighters say they had the blaze under control by 9:20pm, but the house sustained heavy damage.

Officials say the cause seems to be an accident and may have started in the attic. There were no injuries.
