The state of Massachusetts is expanding a pilot program aimed at replacing inefficient wood stoves.

Last month, the State Department of Energy Resources started offering rebates of up to $2,000, and they quickly burned through the $100,000 in funding they alloted for the program.

So they are now adding another $800,000.

Residents who qualify can receive a voucher to buy newer models that use less wood and burn cleaner.
