Police: man struck car, killed man while on drugs

CHARLTON - A Washington County man is charged with manslaughter after police say struck a car and killed another man while high on drugs.
The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon on State Route 67 in Charlton.
Police say 24-year-old Marcus Young of Granville crossed the center lane, and hit a car driven by 50-year-old Glenn Smith of Amsterdam.
Smith died at the hospital.
Young is now behind bars on DWAI and manslaughter charges.
