Police: Motorist dies in Montgomery County accident

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a man has died in a traffic accident in Montgomery County.
Troopers say 35-year-old Lester Rivera Jr. of Amsterdam was driving in the town of Amsterdam at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when he ran off the road and overturned in a field.
Rivera was thrown partially out of his vehicle and declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
