Mass. DOT causes loud explosions in Berkshire County

BECKET - Those who live near the Mass Pike in Berkshire County that heard loud explosions on Thursday can blame the State Department of Transportation.

Crews were conducting a test blast of the rock ledge on the eastbound side of I90 in Becket.

They expect to do more blasting in the spring and early summer.
