BALLSTON SPA – Gavin Staulters was sentenced on Wednesday to two to six years in the death of a 14-year-old Saratoga County girl in July.

Staulters, 22, admitted he was drunk when he struck Kari Liedel.

Liedel’s mother read a victim impact statement this morning reminding the judge that she "will never see her daughter's face again, never touch her hair."

Staulters offered a tearful apology saying he never meant to hurt anyone and hopes today brings peace and justice to Liedel's friends and family.
