Local author succumbs to cancer

Capital Region author David Pitkin has died.
He was a guest many times here at NewsChannel 13, often on Forum 13.
He wrote what are called real life ghost stories, including Haunted Saratoga and New York State Ghosts.
Pitkin had been battling cancer.
He was 73-years-old.
