Clifton Park man assaulted on doorstep

CLIFTON PARK - State police are asking for help as they investigate an assault.
Police say a 67-year-old Clifton Park man answered his door on Sunday night to a stranger. They say the man asked the victim his name and hit him on the top of the head with a metal pipe.
The victim was treated at a hospital for a head laceration.
Police released two surveillance photos, hoping to identify the man.
