Boars Head makes generous donation to Regional Food Bank

LATHAM - Families in need are getting a little extra help putting food on the table, thanks to a generous donation to the Regional Food Bank Thursday.
Boars head brand donated more than 500 pounds of turkey and ham today to the food bank in Latham.
The donation will help provide nearly 1200 meals to families across the area.
"They can be given to a family to take home to use or a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter, anything like that...very versatile, will meet a lot of needs," said Mark Quandt.
Food banks across the Capital Region are in need of supplies, especially in the winter months.
