COLONIE – The Transportation Safety Administration announced Tuesday the addition of bomb sniffing dogs to the security checkpoint at Albany International Airport.

The dogs, Labrador Retrievers, have been specially trained since birth to not only smell the substance but to track it.

According to the TSA you will still have to remove your shoes and other items to go through security and the dogs will only be on-duty during peak travel times.
