WRIGHT - A Schoharie County woman is now charged with animal cruelty after more than 160 cats were seized from her property.
NewsChannel 13 first brought this story last month, when the animals were found inside a home in the town of Wright.
67 of the cats were found dead inside a kitchen freezer, most of which were kittens.
Today, authorities tell us they have charged 50-year-old Irene Van Dyke with failing to provide proper sustenance and animal cruelty.
The surviving cats are at the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley and are up for adoption.
