SARATOGA COUNTY--According to the Saratoga County District Attorney, the three young women knew Aaron Emerson but were not related to him. Emerson is registered on the New York State sex offender registry and if convicted of the new Class D felonies, said to have occurred between January 2012 and July 2012, his status would increase to a level three offender, the people considered the most dangerous.
"They are practically incurable so incarcerating or removing them from society is one way to keep our community safe," explains DA Jim Murphy from Saratoga County whose office is prosecuting the case.
The newest three accusations range from forced sexual contact with a 15 year old female, nude photography without an 18 year old's permission and sexual contact with a 17 year old.
According to Murphy, the allegations came to light after one of the young women found pictures on Emerson's cell phone.
"These crimes, the victims didn't even know they were victims themselves until they discovered or came across the evidence themselves."
The incidents reportedly occurred in the Town of Moreau. Emerson, a restaurant worker, provided law enforcement with a Lake George address and his prior conviction was in Warren County.
"Criminal conduct--outrageous behavior just wrong on every level. Fortunately it didn't go further but it certainly went too far," adds Murphy.
As with all crimes like this, DA Murphy and the police are concerned there are additional victims out there. If you or someone you know believe you had inappropriate contact with Emerson, DA Murphy asks that you call him or your local police department.
