Woman accused of receiving benefits illegally

A Hudson Falls woman is accused of receiving $5,900 in benefits she wasn’t entitled to.
Police say from 2008 to 2012, 79-year-old Norma Maranville filed false HUD paperwork saying she lived in an apartment in Earl Towers.
An investigation revealed that she has actually lived with her boyfriend on Nicole Drive in Queensbury for several years.
Maranville is charged with grand larceny, in addition to other charges.
She’s set to appear in court next month.
