Woman bit by rabid fox in Cohoes

COHOES - Cohoes residents are being alerted after a woman was bitten by a rabid fox.
Albany County's Department of Health and Cohoes Police are asking residents in the Jefferson Avenue/ Lansing Park area of Cohoes to be on the look-out for stray animals acting strangely.
They say a woman was bitten by a grey fox that was later tested and discovered to be rabid.
Residents should avoid contact with such animals and call 911 right away.
