Former Troy sergeant pleads guilty in child sex sting

Patrick Rosney admitted to sending sexually explicit material over the internet to an undercover New York City cop, who he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Rosney was arrested in June of last year.
He retired following that arrest, after 26 years on the job.
He's expected to be sentenced to five years' probation and a $5,000 fine.
He will also have to register as a sex offender with the state.
