SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York man has been arrested and charged with 13 felonies after an undercover investigation into illegal firearms trafficking.

The Times Herald-Record reports that cops from the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team arrested a convicted felon with 17 firearms Saturday.

Police identified the suspect as 58-year-old Ronald Grumberg.

Police recovered two handguns and 15 rifles at Grumberg's Saugerties residence including an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle after executing a search warrant.

The arrest occurred after months of undercover firearm buys by police officers.

Grumberg was charged with four counts of third degree criminal sale of a firearm, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and other gun-related charges.

He was arraigned and sent to Ulster County Jail on $50,000 cash bond. It wasn't clear if Grumberg had a lawyer.
