RENSSELAER - A half a billion dollar project is in the works in Rensselaer County.

Mayor Dan Dwyer tells NewsChannel 13 that a high tech company is considering a $500 million port project.

It would be at the former BASF site, right on the Hudson River.

Dwyer declined to name the business.

He says the planning is already in its final stages.
