SCOTIA - The animal overpopulation in the Capital Region got some help Wednesday in the form of a grant worth nearly half a million dollars.
The ASPCA donated the money to the Animal Protective Foundation in Scotia.
The foundation will use the money to help build a new community spay/neuter clinic.
The ASPCA says its an effort that is critical to solving the long term problem of animal homelessness.
