FORT EDWARD - A convicted crook in Washington County tried to renew his driver's license, but ended up in a chase that injured two officers.

The sheriff said it all started when 31-year-old Jason Cary went to DMV in Fort Edward.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Post Star Newspaper report the clerk noticed there were arrest warrants for Cary.

When deputies approached him, he ran out of the office and into traffic.

One deputy fell and separated his shoulder, another fell and hurt his knee.

They pepper sprayed Cary and arrested him.

He has previous convictions for robbery and aggravated harassment.

He was not able to renew his driver's license.
